株式会社コニットは、iPhoneをはじめ、Google Android、Windows Mobile、Nokia Ovi、BlackBerryといったグローバルなモバイルプラットフォームにおいて、ゲーム、その他エンターテイメントからビジネスユーティリティまで幅広くアプリケーションを企画・開発している。
Conit Corporation is a content producer and developer for global mobile platforms such as iPhone, Google Android, Windows Mobile, Nokia Ovi, and BlackBerry.
国内のソーシャルアプリプロバイダー（SAP）は、mixiやモバゲーといった国内のサービスにアプリを提供してから海外のFacebook等に進出する のが一般的だ。しかし、コニットはiPhone、Facebookといった海外のプラットフォームから国内にアプリ市場に参入している。他のSAPとは異 なりいち早く海外マーケットにアプローチできているのも、同社の非常勤取締役を勤めるブレークスルーパートナーズ代表の赤羽氏の影響が大きいという。
Usually, national Social Application Providers (SAP) first provides their applications to domestic services such as mixi and Mobage-town and then deploys them to overseas services such as Facebook. However, Conit first starts its deployment in overseas platform and then enters the domestic market. One of the reasons Conit is able to approach overseas market at an early stage is the presence of their non-executive director, Mr. Akaba, who is Managing Director of Breakthough Partners.
iPhoneに関連する事業では、ソリューション提供とアプリ開発の2つの事業を行っている。ソリューション提供事業では、iPhone 3GやiPod touchでコンテンツ課金をするためのシステムを「iPhone用コンテンツ課金ソリューション」として2009年8月に販売を開始した。iPhone ではOS3.0にバージョンアップされてからダウンロードしたアプリケーション上から追加でアイテムやデータを購入できる機能が追加された。ただし、アプ リ提供者が、販売したアプリケーション上でアイテム課金等を行うには別途専用のアプリ内課金サーバーを準備する必要があった。そこでコニットはアプリ内課 金に必要なシステムモジュールをパッケージ化し、販売している。
Two major projects in their iPhone business are providing solution and developing application. Conit started “Content billing solution for iPhone” in August 2008, which is a system to charge content fee through iPhone3G and iPod touch. After the upgrade to OS3.0, a new feature was added which enabled users to buy items and data through the downloaded application. However, in order to charge users, the application provider needed to prepare a private server in the application. This is where Conit came in. They packaged and sold the necessary system modules for billing.
iPhoneアプリ事業では、2010年3月現在5個のアプリを販売しており、それぞれとてもユニークだ。
「Eat Now」というアプリは、ユーザーが食事の写真を公開することで、友達と食事を通じてコミュニケーションすることができるサービスだ。ユーザーは毎日食事 を写真に撮り、「Eat Now」のサイトにアップする。写真をアップする時にGPS情報も登録すれば、どこで食事をとったかという情報も登録することができる。ぐるなびや食べロ グはレストラン等を軸としてユーザーが料理の口コミを登録するのに対して、「Eat Now」はユーザーを軸としてそのユーザーが毎日何を食べているのかを見ることができるのが特徴だ。また、「Eat Now」は、iPhoneだけでなくFacebook、Androidアプリとして海外でも公開されており、海外ユーザーも多数参加している。海外ユー ザーの毎日の食事を覗いてみると、日本ではなじみがないような食事をとっていておもしろい。将来的にはユーザーが食べている食事の情報だけでなく、レシピ 情報も登録できるようにしたいと代表の橋本氏は言う。
Conit is providing 5 unique applications for iPhone as of March 2010. “Eat Now” is an application which users can communicate with friends by sharing photos of their daily diet. Users take pictures of their every day meal and upload them to “Eat Now”. If you add the GPS information, people can also know where you ate. Compared to Gourmet Navigator and Tabelog which focuses on word of mouth comments of restaurant menus, “Eat Now” focuses on each user and their daily food habit.
“Eat Now” is not only provided for iPhone but also worldwide for Facebook and Android applications. It is interesting to see the meals of people all over the world because some are unfamiliar to Japanese. Eventually, Conit plans to provide not only information of meals but a system to let users post recipes, says representative Mr. Hashimoto.
「フーフーミントン」というアプリはコミカルなブタやパンダのキャラクターを操ってバトミントンをするゲームで、iPhoneのマイクに息を吹きかけて シャトルを飛ばす（画面のタップでもシャトルを飛ばすことができる）というゲームだ。Bluetoothを使ってP2Pで直接対戦もすることができる。
“Fufu-Minton” is a badminton game with comical pigs and panda characters. The user hits the shuttle by blowing into the microphone of the iPhone (you can also hit the shuttle by tapping the display). Users can also compete with other players by P2P using Bluetooth.
「サムライチェス」は、コニットのiPhoneアプリ第一弾としてリリースされたアプリだ。オーソドックスなチェスゲームのアプリだが、サムライの果たし合いをイメージしたテーマ、アニメーション、効果音を使用しているのが特徴だ。
“Samurai-chess” is the first application for iPhone that was released by Conit. This is an orthodox chess game only that this game is designed imaging Samurai’s fights, animation, and sounds.
このようにコニットはiPhoneやFacebook、Androidなど様々なプラットフォームに対してアプリを提供しており、今後日本国内で話題に なっているmixiアプリやモバゲーにもアプリを提供していくという。iPhoneアプリやFacebookアプリのノウハウを有する同社だけに、今後の 国内のソーシャルアプリ市場でも存在感を高めてくるだろう。
In this way, Conit is providing applications for various platforms. They are also planning to provide applications for mixi and Mobage which is a big trend in Japan. Since they have the experience in iPhone and Facebook application development, they are sure to show presence in the domestic social application market.
